TIRA GmbH is a medium-size organisation which has been developing, manufacturing and marketing industrial balancing machines and unbalance measurement systems since 1963.

Until 1989 the company was the leading supplier of material testing equipment, vibration generators and industrial balancing machines on the eastern european market.

In 1993 the organisation was privatised and currently has more than 100 employees. Five years later in 1998, the new company headquarters in Schalkau, directly near Coburg, were built, fitted out and occupied in 1998.
